History:

Lady Miranda Triflewith, Third child of five, her brothers older, her sisters twins younger. Parents: Baron Trenon and Baroness Lucy Triflewith,  Residence the Planet Barbary.

Miranda may have been born into an Imperial Noble Family but her ideas and thoughts were not the usual attitude and perceptions that most nobles had. Instead, probably due to her sisters being born just a year and a half after her, and Miranda being the middle child; Miranda had more contact with those that ran the household, than what the rest of the family had.

New babies do end up occupying people's time and unfortunately the middle child can be forgotten about or not being payed much attention to. A woman, named Matilda Brunwilder who helped out in the household. Matilda had a compassionate nature and took pity on the poor little girl, who was crying, hungry and cold, taking her under her wing. She saw to Miranda's needs, wiped her nose. kissed away the scratches and hurts, acting more like a mother to Miranda, than what Baroness Lucy was.

Matilda even took Miranda home with her at times, to keep an eye on her, and Miranda was adopted by Matilda's own children as one of their own. Miranda was given her own chores when she did stay at Matilda's home, and she loved it. This arrangement lasted for a few years.Matilda had also started Miranda on her rudimentary education, then made certain that Miranda was included in the education offered to the other Triflewith children, and reminding the Baroness that Miranda was her child besides the older brothers and the two younger sisters. Miranda felt that her little sisters were rather spoiled, getting everything they wanted and they were pretty little girls on whom the Baroness doted on.

When Miranda was ten, she was forbidden to go visit Matilda anymore. This angered Miranda as she loved Matilda very much; as well as her family. One night she snuck out of the estate and went to visit Matilda. Leila and Elizabeth found out and tattled to the Baron and Baroness. Miranda was taken from Matilda's home, and brought in front of her parents. Miranda was defiant to her parents, and not liking her defiance, Miranda was dealt with harshly then locked up in her room for several weeks. Word had been sent to Miranda by Matilda, telling her to not be so defiant, and just do what she needed to do to survive and one other thing, was goodbye.

Miranda was full of grief when she found out Matilda was gone along with her family. Miranda never found out what happened to them, only that they were gone.

Feeling that Miranda was lacking in polish and other types of education, she was given a tutor who was very much a taskmistress, under her schooling Miranda learned all that was necessary to act like a person of nobility. Miranda hated it, but toed the line becoming the perfect little child of a baron, feeling she needed to adopt this personae until she can do something different. Inside she hated the way the lowerclass was being treated, did what she could to help out surreptitiously. Miranda had to be careful, if she was ever found out her punishment would be even more severe.

She learned political intrigue, learned to manipulate things, was charming, witty, but seemed to be carefree and uncaring of the lower populace. Her attitude was to be only caring for the latest fashions, gossip and how to keep herself beautiful. Her parents were pleased and didn't feel too worried about their daughter besides what seemd to be her flirtatious nature.

Miranda did develop some affectations, she alway carried a parasol, and carried a fan, with which she flirted. Miranda had quite the collection of fans, which matched the outfits she wore. Later on, Miranda incorporated a code using the fans to communicate with those whom she trusted, and let them know she was ready to go about her other business and that was helping out the rest of the populace.

With her flirtatious nature, Miranda's parents decided it best that she was to be married off. Their candidate, Baron Alastair Araman. He saw the charming Miranda and was smitten by her beauty, He agreed and they were married. Miranda thought that being married to Alastair would be rather dull but instead she found she had a bit more freedom to do what she wanted, still she made certain that her clandestine activities stayed that way. She actually preferred to go about the common folk enjoying being with them. but going in disguise to protect her identity.

Her life with Alastair was decent, they only had one child a daugyhter named Crystal. Miranda still kept up her carefree attitude, giving parties and such, she did dote on her daughter, showing her love and understanding. Though at times Miranda did try to teach her how to do things instead of depending on those who worked for them.

Crystal thought her mother was strange and hypocritical, when she saw her mother be such a carefree individual. When she turned 16, Crystal ran away from home, to marry someone she loved. Miranda had no idea where her daughter was. There had not been any communications between them since.

Another event in her life was the death of Alastair, he was murdered by what was termed rebels and cutthroats. However after her own investigation, and using her own contacts she uncovered those who had plotted his demise. They were apprehended and dealt with. However, those that were friends of the perpetrators were not happy and wanted revenge.

One of her contacts as well as friend, was Sherustiishi "Rusty" Kiishre. Her friends marvelled at the friendship between her and Rusty, but Miranda would say,

"He is refreshing in comparison to the stuffed shirts I have to deal with. And I would trust my life to him."

And that saying proved true, a plot was discovered to get rid of Miranda due to her bringing to justice the men who killed her husband. A friend, suggested that Miranda leave Barbary and feeling that it was a good idea she talked with Rusty who didn't mind going to another world and set up shop there. It was settled and Miranda left Barbary and went undercover she is currently acting as Rusty's housekeeper/cook and Girl-Friday helping him with matters of business. They have been on Kemal in the mining town of Haut for about a year. hunted.

Those in the upper part of the mining corporation do not have a clue as to her true lineage and those who have picked up the signs laugh with it being a good joke. A lady, being a housekeeper for Rusty does make some tongues wag but they are careful not to say anything in the hearing of Rusty.

During the year Miranda did receive news about her daughter, it was rumored the man she married was a rebel. and that her daughter was a wanted woman. Miranda is aware of the fermenting rebellion on the Planet Kemal and isn't afraid to help out.
